Does anyone got a dog toilet in their garden?

If so how good is it at degrading down and how quick? I have 2 collies and have to try to get rid of their waste in the garden as the council are recycling and i now have to get rid of it better.

What type or brand do you recommend? HELP

I have a doggie toilet in my garden next to the compost bin. It is just a bog standard one I bought from pet cemetry, sorry, I mean pets-at-home store. You pour in some liquid ever so often, I forget how often, and you just put the poo in it. I have a german shepherd dog and it seems to cope fine with it. Never had a poo excess of anything. The liquid just trickles out the holes and into the ground. Only prob is, it stinks when you take off the lid. i normally get my husband to do it when he is here! heheheheeh

I have a Labrador dog and bought a 'dog loo' I have to say, once it was full, the waste didnt go anywhere and it just never seemed to disintegrate at all, so stopped putting poo down it as it got to overflowing ! No matter how much of that special chemical we poured in it (and that stuff isnt cheap either!). The stench was embarrasing also! It was so bad we could not sit out in our garden ! Nothing to do with the dog loo but we moved house and i pity the new owners who happen to unearth it! (It got overgrown with weeds and grass).

Just to let you know i got a dog toilet and eventually got a hole big enough and put it in the ground.

I have 2 big collie dogs and i was really sceptical about this working but..

It really does work and the only smell is when you have to flush out the toilet with bukets of water. With 2 collie i noticed it is about every 10 days but so far its is working great.

Umm... This is difficult because I do have a dog toilet in my garden that flushes straight to the sewer everyday just like an ordinary toilet and the dog uses whenever he wants/needs to. Never goes anywhere else. Pretty perfect really - no smell, no emptying dog poop... Trouble is Site Rules don't allow me to post the web address... cos it's my website - oh well...
