For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I was simply stating that by replying to an email you are telling the bad guys that it is a live or valid email address. (Thousands of emails to non-existent computer generated addresses are sent out along with the ones that do turn out to exist) This 'live'address will then be sold on to other bad guys and you will start to receive more and more messages. Who knows what you could be letting yourself in for in the future. Especially as these people are becoming more sophisticated. Who knows, one of them may turn out to be smarter than you.
sidkid I understand what you mean. The advice you have given is going to be handy for other people but the email address I used to reply from isn't one I do anything with much so they can send as much junk as they want. Funnily enough I barely get much spam but I think that's due to the server weeding it out before it gets to me. hey ho!
