They look clean and cosy and could be a good alternative to living in squalid bedsits and the like with shared facilities.

Looks like they have a small hob, can't see any oven but maybe some space for a small microwave.

Pah, absolute luxury.

4 of us used to live in one of those containers for 6 weeks at a time during The Troubles in N. Ireland.

That's the OP on Slieve Gullion. We could observe a vast majority of South Armagh from there.
Her sister OP was on Creeve Keeran, an adjacent moutain.
At Trinity Buoy Wharf in East London (right opposite the O2 dome) there's a whole stack of homes made from these containers, and an office block constructed from them too.
Personally I think they're utterly hideous ans I would hate to live in one. I can see the logic and they probably are a good idea; but actually as a Londoner who also works in central London, I'd appreciate it if rents were pylled in to line more than having these boxes just so people can afford to live.
