I don't mind a bit of Red Leicester with chilies in. As for cheese snobbery......it's all toss.

Costco have got some huge Nutcracker Suite soldiers. Like about five feet tall. They were about two hundred pounds. I'd get one if I had a house. It would look a bit stupid on the landing outside my flat.

Not at all, JJ, it's tasty - no different to having a dod of cheese on your cracker with a dollop of chilli sauce on it. Yum.

"dod" is totally not a word.
Interestingly I find it's not a word, JJ - but it's a word we use a lot, to mean lump, or knob, as in "a dod of butter".
