Changing To Firefox

I've been having problems with Google Chrome - at least, I guess that's where the problem is. Often when I click on a link the screen freezes, and the only solution seems to be to switch the desktop off and on again, which is a slow process. Thought I might try Firefox as it's often recommended on here. But the Free Download button is saying English US, and although I've clicked further down to change to English British, there is no change to the download button. I don't want to discover that I've got the wrong version. Advice, please? I'm running Windows 7.

Why are there two options in the box below, then?

if you click on "Systems and languges" under the download key it'll take you to a page of customised versions and you can down load from English/British. Or use fender62's link.

I didn't actually know there was a UK version and have no idea which version I've got, or how they're different anyway.

No it most definitely is not!

If you click on 'Systems & Languages' (underneath the big 'Download' button) you end up here:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
That allows you to select the 'English (British)' version.

As you seem to have already installed the US version, Tearinghair, I strongly recommend that you should now change the dictionary over to Brutish English.

To do so, go to Tools > Add-ons.
Enter 'British English' in the search box.
Click on 'Install' alongside 'British English Dictionary'
(You might have to restart Firefox after doing so. I can't actually remember).
Then come to any question on AB and type 'colour color' into the answer box (obviously without clicking 'Submit'!).
If 'color' is underlined in red as being incorrect, the British dictionary is already active and you don't need to do anything else.
However it's more likely that 'colour' will be underlined in red, meaning that the US dictionary is still active.
If so, right click on it and go to 'Languages', clicking on 'English (United Kingdom).
Then the British dictionary will be used thereafter.

i also have occasional freezing of pages with chrome but it seems to clear on its own after thirty seconds or so, which is quicker than switching off and on again!

Thanks Buenchico, but I had in fact already found the Systems and Languages button (I'm sure it wasn't there the first time I looked - must have been lurking in the fifth dimension) and have the correct one installed. I seemed to remember reading a previous post a week or so ago which said that changing after installation would be a lot of trouble, which is why I was careful to check before I did it (I am slowly learning things from this site!). At the moment I don't like Firefox as much as Chrome, but I'll persevere.
