This sounds a bit 1984ish. I'm hoping it might lead to them giving up on us and not showing any adverts as we always record things on commercial channels and whizz thru them.

Many people, including me when I remember, deliberately still pause a program for 10 minutes so that we can then ff through the ads. Personally i find the the cancer charity ads too painful to watch and would be delighted to see them off my tv. So far as the rest go, I quite like long ads as they give me more time to pop to the loo or boil a kettle.

We sometimes do that too. The 9 o clock dog walk comes in handy.
Adverts during a program = trip to loo/sweety jar/food cupboard

Begging adverts are a turn off - "just text......" - no I won't because I don't have a mobile and even if I did I still wouldn't.
