This may seem a silly question....I've currently got a very comfortable divan bed that I'd like to move into the spare room-replacing it with a Victorian style metal bed frame in my room. But,as the mattress is so comfy, can I put that on the new bed frame, and put a cheaper mattress on the divan?

They're astronomers, Carrust. I regularly change mistresses.
I might be talking rubbish but I thought it was important to match your mattress to the type of base. Something to do with the distribution of load, springs, etc.....
