i was a very naughty boy years ago, thankfully i have since wised up and work and live by the rules as much as i can, i want to go to canada for 2 weeks , i have convictions and was in a diplock court 20 years ago and was sentenced to 2 years in jail.

could i be refused ?

So was your crime related to the troubles?

i would imagine that if your offences were linked to terrorism, it's exceedingly unlikely
I can`t really see who they`d know. You don`t need a visa and there are no questions on the landing cards about criminal records. The only info they would have on you would be APIS and unless you`re wanted in Canada or on an international terrorist list, they would know nothing about your past.

beezaneez hasn't said what his conviction was for, but i guess if he was tried in a Diplock court, there is more than a remote possibility it was to do with terrorism
