...finding a penny this morning and all day long you'll have good luck.

Had another busy and rather stressful day at work (only 1 good thing came out of it I think) my lunch break was not a break but an extension of being busy - my boss calls me to inform me he's going to be late as he had a blow out can I let everyone know - not a problem he made it and got a new tyre! Afternoon spent on my tod in parts - highlighted with my request being read out on the radio and my song played (ok maybe 2) then on my way to catch the bus home I tripped and fell over a loose paving stone and b*ggered my knees and got off lightly with my hip - dr was concerned but I've to go down tomorrow for a once over - could have been worse. Just glad its over for today (I hope)

How has your day been?

Thank you Slinky - I hope so too :) x
Sorry to hear about your day, hope you feel better soon.
I hope you feel better soon, but I hate this blame and claim culture. For future reference it may be an idea to look where you're going. I do not mean to offend you, but I hate "where there is blame there is a claim" Sorry.

Jeza I'm not offended at all. I don't want anything for hat happened I'm just peeved that my new work trousers got ruined as they were brand new. I was looking where I was going but the slabs are dreadful. I just want them to fix it so that nobody else is in danger as a lot of elderly people use that stop and I'd hate to see them injured or hurt more seriously.

But thank you for wishing me well :)
if no one complained about the dangers, as you say a child or elderly person could be badly hurt.

I believe there have been many injuries on our high street after falls on the slabs and there was one the other day as well and it was quite nasty. I just hope that if enough people complain then something will get done....but is a case of how many more have to go through it before something is done.

good evening queenie, it never rains but.........

everyone has an off day very occasionally, when nothing seems to go right

i hope you will be okay tomorrow
QOM, sorry to hear of your accident. You should sue. The first thing the council would do would be to repair the loose paving stones. You might be saving someone else from an accident.

Good Evening Excel

It certainly does - it's pouring here and I don't just mean in the sense of a bad day! Fingers crossed today is a better day :)

You have a point there Sandy - I could always jut threaten to sue and I bet they will trip over themselves to not let me. It never seems to happen to their own either.
I hope you're feeling better soon queenofmean, it's good that your GP is checking you out tomorrow, can't be too careful.

My lad who's 11 has been writing his christmas list ;/ he likes to plan ahead. Anyway this afternoon I ordered a lego set off Amazon that he wants, this evening whilst I was cooking dinner he went onto Amazon to torture himself by looking at all the toys he wants :) and read an update that I had purchased this item today, I wasn't amused.
Question Author
Thank you puddle duck :)

Aww bless him I used to love my Lego - I'm so glad that it's still going he might forget that you got it or you could say it's for someone else and he'll get a surprise on Christmas Morning

Thank you Excel :)

I'm looking forward to doing the weekend slot for you so you can participate too :)
I used to love your Lego too. (when you let me play with!) What happened to it?
Question Author
No idea - the blue box thing with the compartments is in the boys room. I miss the Paradisa stuff I loved that!
Your mission is to locate the paradise Lego set - I wonder where we put it...
The trouble is there is no one I can say it's for as none of my brothers or sister have any children. I'm just frightened he goes hunting and finds the cupboard full of stuff I've already bought.

He loves his lego....but there's many a time I've stood on a bit with my bare feet, It's evil ;)
