Condensation On Outside Of Patio Doors
6 Answers
I have condensation on the outside of my new double glazed patio doors. I'm glad it's on the outside as at least it means I can go into the garden and wipe it off, but I don't have this problem with any of my old double glazed windows, so I wondered what's causing it.

This phenomenon must surely disappear as the morning progresses - which means as the outer skin of glass warms up.
I get condensation on outside of windows one side of the house at present, in certain types of weather - it soon disppears. I'm certain I will not be wandering outside to wipe it off.
There's only a problem if the condensation is inside the house or between the panes of glass.

New glazing uses "low-E" (low emissivity) glass, Marijn. It's just a technical thing.
