The cult of the magic radiator
Once again it is the time of year when women all over Britain worship The Magic Radiator.
It is too damp outside to dry clothes, so they are brought into the house and festooned on all the available radiators. This would be entirely logical if the radiators were hot ... but it is still warm enough to manage without the CH - so the rads are stone cold.
But women still insist that it's the way to get the washing dry - logically this is what we men call 'botox' - the radiators are actually a big lump of cold water with a huge thermal capacity ... of coldness.
It must be magic then ... perhaps this post should be in R&S

We have neighbours whose house is perpetually draped in drying laundry and their daughter has asthma....no surprise. I'm surprised they haven't started growing mushrooms on their sofa.
