Xls-Medical

I'm a total sucker for any weight loss idea other than the boring 'move more and eat less' philosophy. My ears pricked up when an advert for XLS-Medical fat binding pills came on TV the other day. I'd really value feedback from anyone who has tried them. I'm obviously interested in your results (or lack of them) and any side effects. I do realise that you still have to watch what you eat whilst taking them. Please don't bother replying if you have lost weight through diet and exercise alone. If you have lost weight this way and are one of the meagre 5% who has not regained it, I have the utmost respect for you but this is not what this post is about. Please only reply if you've actually given the pills a good chance.

My mum has tried one of this same family of drug and used to have accidents all the time, whenever she had a bowel movement it used to stink her whole house out and the farting noises she used to make echoed round her house like you wouldn't believe! We used to really have to use serious willpower to not go into uncontrollable giggling fits. She had to wear incontinence pads at all times because any small amount of fat consumed used to cause oily faeces to leak from her bottom :-/ To top all this embarrassment she never lost any weight on the drug.
Its absolutely clear if you read the small print that the main way that these pills (any fat binders) work is to make it extremely unpleasant to eat more than very small amounts of fat. Its an aversive effect rather like antabuse. If your weight problem is caused by excess intake of other kinds of calories then fat binding meds won't work at all.
