I have a holiday booked and have been called for jury service can I be exempt?

I think you'll be ok as long as you can show that the holiday was booked prior to you being called for jury service

I did Jury service about 7 years ago and was ill when I was due to go in. Thinking that I'd got away with it I was dissapointed when they just put my jury service back a few weeks, so I still had to do it. I expect they would do the same with you. And it was very interesting.

You can delay jury service - usually will get called back up within a twelve month period.
