It's always going to be difficult to come anywhere near close to the original but I think your voice does generally suit this song, although I wonder whether sometimes you should sing in a lower key (is that the word?) as on the high notes it didn't sound quite right.

i think you have a sweet voice, but the pitch is just out of your range.

Stevie N does have a naturally low pitch - if you aimed for a lower key, maybe it would suit you better.

You can hit the high notes, i just think you lack the confidence to hit them with the conviction and sustain they need - a problem that would be solved if you felt more comfortable in a lower range.
