Everymorning as I struggle into my compression stocking Colin licks my legs up and down.

Is it possible he is aware that I am in pain or is he telling me that I missed a bit in the shower?

Hi fgt. Did you see that dog documentary on recently? They had a woman pretending to cry and each dog tried to comfort her, so i wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to help. Unless he just thinks it's something that looks good to chew!

I did see that and was also aware that the dogs mainly were just curious!

Bless him he seems to home in on the odema and gives it a very thorough licking!!

They are sweet, aren't they? They can be trained to warn of epilepsy, diabetic problems and even detect cancer, i believe. They obviously have some natural skill of knowing something isn't right.
Zac made a great fuss of my dad, getting into the armchair with him (he's a border collie) and being a little 'frisky'. About a month later dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I believe men exhale increased levels of testosterone due to prostate cancer. Could just be coincidence but it was very strange. He never did it before or since.
The only people my first dogs were ever gentle with were my Mum and grandmother. Everyone else would just get lovingly flattened but they seemed to know not to be too rough with them.
I watched something on TV. A woman thought her dog was depressed because he just laid about looking miserable. The only contact he had with her was poking her boobs. She realised this after a few months and went to the doctor. She had breast cancer!!! When she was treated (successfully) the dog went back to his happy self.

Animals have a 6th sense...
