This morning OH got a parcel. He had ordered a crash helmet. He has organised a trip to Silverstone with his MG club. They all get to drive their own car round the track for 30 minutes. Everyone has to wear a crash helmet. He could have hired one but seeing as he wears two hearing aids he wanted to doctor the helmet so his aids don't whistle. He looked a bit odd with the helmet on, he is 76 for heavens sake. But he removed a bit of padding and he doesn't whistle.
He is like a little boy with a toy with his car!
No Hopkirk he doesn't, that is the reason I do not go in the MG, I am a very nervous passenger, in my book he drives too fast, plus with my arthritis the car is not very comfortable for me.
What a picture you paint,Caran.Lol I'd pay good money to see hubby in his big helmet and you, with your athritis squeezed into your little sports car.
A lad gave me a lift from the garage in an MG, last year. Only went 50 yds. Took me 10 minutes to get out.
Svejk due to my arthritis I don't go in the MG, also he drives far too fast for me, I would have my feet through the floor trying to brake. So this is his hobby not mine. I don't mind him going off doing his own thing.
