photos on iphone

I can anyone help me i have just got myself a new iphone and i am having troublle with the photos it downloaded from my computer the problem is there is no way to delete these photos can anybody please help thanks

Put the photos onto your computer via whatever method you like -- software that came with the camera, or a multi-card reader, or whatever.
Then, connect your iPod and fire up iTunes. When you connect the iPod, there'll be a tab for photos, and you can specify to add your own photos. Choose the folder with your photos in it, and sync your iPod.

Yes you're right you can't delete them.
You just can't do it. They're there for viewing.
If you want them off the iPhone, you need to remove them via iTunes. Click the photos tab when you connect your iPhone, and there'll be a choice of options as to where it gets your photos from. It may be set to just get everything from "My Photos" if you're on Windows. If you don't like this, use iTunes to be more specific by choosing a different folder with just the photos you want.
