pixie373, thanks, good idea about the info files on local services etc. The meter needs to stay unfortunately, the cost of people leaving 3 heaters on for a week is a bit scary! we will always ensure there is few quids worth of electric to last for a few days.

That's a lovely part of Wales Ratter. I hope you'll be happy there. Personally, I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere that had an electric meter. Good luck with your venture.

That bad is it, DT.....you have your hands full.....mine is odd at the minute.

Ratter...I am all for the meter.....if we think we have paid for it in our rental charge we are a wee bit inclined to be careless.....just make sure you have a stock of coins to exchange for people like me who will forget to bring any.

The site looks pure dead professional. My moan would be the"home away from home" heading. I think that it needs to be rephrased or tinkered with. The others may not agree but I think that it could be improved.

I really hope it all works out for you and Carakeel. It is a huge change for all of you. I hope that you have a cat for your farm. Cats Protection sometimes have feral cats to rehome.

Yes, I can the scariness but charge them for it upfront - folk would rather be warm and not have to scramble for two pound coins or credit cards....thinl you need to do some mkt research there - perhaps starting with a question on here, ratter.

I'll give you an example - remember faxes? (Not quite the same thing, I know - However). Hotels that charged me for incoming faxes, which, ultimately were out of my control, then I would give them a warning to remove those charges or never come back. It really niggled me as a point of principle - I would have preferred an average of let's say £5 on my bill and have the convenience.

Im surprised at the objection to a coin meter, from what I have seen in the holiday camps they all have electric meters fitted in every caravan and chalet.

I dont think it is something that we would get rid of to be honest but I still appreciate, your comments.

Naomi is right - transpose yourself into being a customer in your target income groups and take it from there, ratter.

In his case, along with fuel, cleaning, water, Sugar disposal (bunkering effectively) and any other charges such as food services.....just a thought

Ratter, if you think that’s the way to go, try it and see what feedback you get. You can always change your mind and up your prices to cover the cost of electricity.
