United Airlines....anyone Flown With Them From Uk To Fort Lauderdale?

I have read the info on baggage. On the hand baggage they just give you the size but no weight? Plus if you check in within 24hours before flight on line, how many hours do you need to be at the airport by.? Just wish they had a phone number or email address you could ask them.

It would be a good idea to be at the terminal about 3 hours before your flight. The chances are that you won`t need that long but flights to the US entail extra security procedures and if you are there when there are lots of other flights that are being processed, then you might need the extra time.

they don't seem to have a weight limit, just size restrictions. Lucky you!

oh, it looks as if you could try 01293 776464 at local rates (probably at Gatwick somewhere) or 0800 0961885 freephone. Haven't tried them so I don't know what you'll get through to.

As has been stated above, there's no weight limit on hand baggage.

looks as if you can check in online from 24 hours before takeoff; that might save you an hour. You'll have to go to a bag drop to check luggage in, though.

Thankyou all for your replies. I am so pleased you have agreed with me that there isnt a weight limit applied. Just the size. Is it just me or didnt the web site explain things properly. Airlines usually explain things a lot easier then this one.! Will give the phone numbers a try and see what or who I get through to.! Brenda x
