I have 3 cream leather sofas, which are donkey's years old- and look it. OH and i are planning to go to half-price sale at well-known furniture shop, but not quite sure what to look for.
I like leather as it's cleanable and comfortable (4 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats). But am always drawn to cream. Our living room is browns and creams, but I can't decide if I like "chocolate" sofas.
I don't really want to make an expensive mistake, do any advice, do's and don'ts would be appreciated x

Love the look of leather but I always slide off them so I have squishy fabric. When I babysat for the grandchildre n I would always slide off their leather sofas which resulted in the oft heard comment..... .....Is Grandma drunk

Leather is easier to clean but I find it cold . I used to have a beautiful comfy sofa in a buttercup colour it was really comfy but I ended up covering it in throws to keep it clean then I got a classy leather one but don't find it as comfy and inviting will have to put up with though as it was expensive. Look for a natural beige in material type and check cushions to see if removable covers for cleaning. Good luck
Lol. Surely,not, gness!
Thank you all for your comments. Have just been to dfs with daughter and bought a 2 seater and 3 seater. We only went to look, but they are gorgeous! They are leather, but squishy and padded rather than slidey (not the technical terms, i believe). And the colour is conker, so less boring than chocolate and more practical than cream. Hard to describe, but almost different shades through it.
Very happy- and half-price! :D Xx

Thank you x it is almost an old-fashioned colour. It looks "rich" rather than matt.
My friend texted me, saying "i bet the salesmen are annoying!"
I replied, "they haven't even spoken to us. We must look poor".
As soon as i said i wanted to buy them, we had 3 salesmen and a manager running about, offers of tea, coffee, juice and biscuits. Lol.

I know what you mean, boxy. For some reason, ours never have (they might recognise new ones, though). But you have ten year guarantee on springs and frame and five years on the leather- including spills and pet damage. They will repair, replace and recolour as often as necessary, free of charge, for the first five years. I said, "i might be calling you out every week".
He said, "you can!"
