Drop the fascination with the so-called celebrity culture and all that goes with it i.e instant fame, wealth, recognition. This would mean the end of X-Factor, Britain's got (little) Talent, Big Brother etc etc. and would make for a far better life, with young people striving for an education and career. I know world peace is a bigger, more important issue, but I just despise the way things are going.
Tackle the problem of spam and phishing emails. If it were possible I'd like a nominal charge (1p?) to be deducted from the sender's bank/credit card account per recipient per email
Ed, can't we have tick boxes toagree with people? I'll tick anyone wanting to get rid of the celeb culture, so many young peope actually admire these people and want to be like them. In many cases, all they've done is sleep around as a career path, bag-a-footballer is an aim for many young girls, then you're a wag. In 30 years time, will these girls be claiming that they too have been abused by their idols?
haven't people long admired celebs, like film stars of the 20'30'40's, women wore the clothes, styled their hair like movie stars, or at least tried to.
men have long admired footballers, men's hair styles are no exception either, teddy boys dressed to the nines for rock and roll, crew cut hair and sharp mohair suits mods for ska, reggae music.
it has become more prevalent because of tv, internet, films, media, mags, papers. it's a global media driven world and there are millions of people who follow trends in far away countries.
