IBS - foods to eat and foods to avoid
4 Answers
My IBS seems to have made an unwelcome comeback - at least reading the embarassing questions website, this is what my symptoms point to. Well, I'd rather not dwell on the symptoms, but one as everyone will know is flatulence - which foods should I avoid or eat more of? I know I should avoid beans, onions, broccoli and cabbage - I would be grateful for more suggestions.

You also asked what you should eat more of. Food wise I can't offer any suggestions. You should eat slowly, take sips of water during your meals, rest for 10 mins at the end of a meal and follow that with a short stroll. I would suggest that you visit the chemist for some advice and you'll probably be advised to take charcoal or peppermint tablets although they will also be able to give you a number of other products to minimise the problem, providing you help yourself with a restricted diet.
