Interesting Question. I contribute most mornings to The Good Morning Thread. Also most evenings when Spacestation is our way .And not forgetting our Qnwards and Downwards once a week on Wednesday. Also answer a few questions only if I am sure it is right and that is normally if I have already read about it on here where I have gained most of my knowledge my reading the Answerbank Questions and Answers.
Ed's figures seem to be the ones he'd show to potential advertisers but they seem on the high side to me.
Actually Ed said "50-90000 active members month to month." If he meant 50000-90000 I'd struggle to name more than 100 of them.
If he means more than 50 then 50 seems a little on the low side
Do you remember at school, there was a sub-subject of English called Precis?
This involved contracting a verbose composition down to a couple of paragraphs, which kept the main and salient points.
Has this now disappeared in the educational curriculum, as many ABers write three or four large paragraphs which could easily be condensed into one.
What is the point of my post?
We only need about four such contributors to fill one's day.
"Precis". precisely, Sqad; and, as I once posted on another thread, never use a big word when a miniscule synonym will suffice perfectly in conveying your written or oral intention.
So do members that seem to be on permanent suspension ( I looked at a 'related answer' the other day and the OP had been 'suspended' for about 2 years) count as members? Your question should be perhaps how many ACTIVE members are there.
