door to door salesmen

just had a bloke knocking on my front door, he was trying to flog cavity wall insulation, no thank you says I, it do es not cost says him, no thanks says I, do you want to read my leaflet says him, no says me what part of no do you not understand, door closes.
How do you get rid of these people?

I had a salesman knock on the door the other day .

He seemed quite suprised when I told him that it was ' crap ' , the line he was trying to work on me , that the Government would fine me if i didn't have
' proper ' loft inslutation ( persumably the one his company was trying to flog me ) .

Having said that , i'd better go and see what that letter with the department of energy logo on the envelope that came this morning , is all about

My elderly neighbour has a "No Cold Callers" type of sticker on her door. The bu88ers take no notice of it. Really annoys me.

Recently I've had charity collectors knocking at my door, asking if I'd like to make a donation. That annoys me too.

Someone tried to sell me double glazing at the door once and I asked what amount I could get back from Social Services to pay for it.

Download a NO COLD CALLERS sign & stick it on your front door. If anyone then knocks, they are committing an offence.

We did this (stuck a downloaded sign on the door) earlier this year & have had no further problems.
