5 Answers
I am trying to find out how much ink there is in a PCWorld ink cartridge for an HP compatible cartridge. Anyone know if PCW ink levels are 10/15/18ml etc? Am only after a cheap replacement hence looking at PCW ink. Thanks

However, this printer can use both the HP300 and the HP300XL cartridges and the latter is supposed to contain more ink than the former so it must obviously depend upon the amount of sponge (which holds the ink) in each cartridge.
The original HP300 sold with the printer will only contain about 4 ccs, of ink which doesn't last very long but replacements bought separately could hold much more, 12ccs if bought from Phoenix but they can vary depending upon the supplier.
The HP300XL black can hold up to 16 ccs and the HP300XL colour slightly less (15ccs.) due to having 3 smaller compartments.
In a nut shell, it all depends upon how much the supplier puts in the compatible cartridge and the only way to find out is to weigh it when new and again when completely empty. 1cc = 1ml.
Hope this helps.
