Does any know if SKY use door to door salesmen please.

I ask as 2 neighbours were accosted on their doorstep last week by a man getting a bit strong, telling them how it would enhance their lives....

These are OAPs.....one well into her 80's.

Just Contact SKY with the date / time / area, then contact your local police.

Just seen a job vacancy advert for Sky door to door salesman in Scotland so they do work that way.

They definitely do door to door, I signed up once that way myself several years ago before I had the internet.

I thought cold-calling wasn't done any more.

I've had Talk Talk and some energy company reps knock the door (the Talk Talk ones have been more than once and are always quite odd and hunt in pairs). If there are reps around, someone in the village always puts it on FB to give people a warning.

It's very seldom done now ask, but I would report ASAP before these poor souls get done.

If they come to my door I just said your trying to sell me sky not intrested but if your selling ground that a different story .

Thank you all. I have told the ladies in question to send them packing if they call again but not sure what else I can do. Its a complex for over 55's tho most are well into retirement.

I only heard about it today but it happened a week ago.

Whoever they were never came to our door. I/we would definitely have sent them packing.

Cup, I Think everyone has a duty of care to help the elderly even though i am going there myself, these evil piece of sht have no compassion only self gain.

In spite of having a notice in the porch stating no salesmen etc I had a door to door salesman selling solar panels call at 8.30pm, I wasn't too happy I can tell you and pointed to my notice asked him if he had difficulty in reading, he blurted out "you have to listen the government sent me " ! how desperate is that ? I still shut the door on him.

I turned away an aggressive replacement window salesman.....his parting shot was.....you'll be sorry....?
