Get your solicitor to write to the headteacher putting him/her on notice of the bullying & that you are considering potentail legal action. Sadly these days it is only the threat of legal action that will actually get schools to take this sort of thing seriously.
Do not under any circumstances write to each govorner individually!!
Write only to the Chair of Governors because the Governing Body will have a Personnel committee who will look into it for you and then make a decision. If you do not agree with that you can then appeal that decision to an appeals committee made up of governors not associated with the origional decision.
If you write to all the governors in the first place you will "contaminate" them all and they will be unable to look into your complaint.
Good luck if you proceed but be prepared for a rough time.
my 13 year old son went into his lesson, sat down and was taking his coat off.....(not late or anything) when the teacher shouted at him to get out of the class so naturally my son asked why at which the teacher carried on telling him to get out, when my son continued to question this the teacher told him that as he had not done as he had been told and got out he was going to get him excluded, my son left the classroom and went to find another member of staff to try and explain what had happened, my son came home extremely upset but when i rang the school to find out what had happened the only thing the teacher had entered onto the computer system was that my son had "absconded" from the lesson.
When i contacted the school again to see what had been done they told me that the teacher sent his apologies but as it had been a very noisy class he had singled out my son to " make his point"
since then there has been a nasty rumour circulating the school about my son which appears to have stemmed from this teacher but when i contacted the school about it they suggested moving my son away from this teacher but personally i feel that it needs looking into a bit more seriously.
I got bullied relentlessly by an R.E. teacher at my school. She used to talk about me to her form believe it or not. Turns out she didnt like the fact that my mum new her husband and had said something along the lines of if she is anything like her mother to teach she must be gem. She took her jealousy out on me. My mum phoned the school after i was getting bad reports etc, they took it really seriously. I had to go to a meeting where she had to apologise to me.
I was chuffed to hear many years later that they sacked her when they found out she was drunk at school a lot.
