Orkney Home Brewed Beer

I have been given a recipe for orkney home brewed beer,
and it asks for 1oz of hops, where in the livingston area of scotland
can I buy hops in small amounts and what kind should I consider

There must be Shops/Stores in Edinburgh who sell Home Brew Kits for both Wine and Beer making. Seek one out as I'm sure they would be pleased to help and advise you regarding Type of Hops etc etc
