sure I saw a clip on tv wednesday the 6th with the front page of the daily express showing a snowy scene and the commentator saying it was county durham (where I live) hubby sys it was probably Scotland so can anyone confirm, or quash this many thanx

The Express love these - they have a bit of a 'Global Warming is Bunkum' campaign going out so the moment a snowflake falls the predictable stories come out accompanied by the usual suspects predicting a new ice age!

It was only last month they were predicting IceAge Britain from Late October into November

The Express also quoted one of those long range forecasters early on this year saying that 2013 was shaping up to be a repeat of the summer of 2012!

They are doing a fine job of illustrating that we really can't do forecasts more than a week ahead!
