why does it annoy some people when someone duplicates a question..they don't have to read it, subscribe to the thread, pay for using this site or any other decent reason I can think of. some people are far too far up their own ar**s in my view. They think because they know a little bit about something they've the right to knock others who don't. Perhaps if they had better things to do than sit on here all day looking at the questions they'd be a lot better off

The reason it annoys some is the fact that - when you ask a question here - you are offered a page or two of similar (identical?) questions that have already been asked. Only then are you asked if you still want your question to be posted. Clearly, there are many people who just can't be bothered to see whether their question already exists. When asked if they still want to go ahead, they just prod 'Yes'. That's what may annoy.

Ah! Obviously, I did not see the identical question below this one when I offered the answer above. Consequently, I did not realise that this one was - presumably - intended as a joke. Ha-ha!
If anything, my having responded offers yet another reason for annoyance at repeat queries!

Exellent point wowo, it annoys mee too that some people seem to think they have the monopoly on certain topics and poo poo other peoples answers if they differ or are similar to theirs, what is their problem ? are the answers not intended for the person who posted the question in the first place ?

Okay, I fess up, I've commited this henious offence before, but in my defence the list offered before submitting didn't offer a question I thought was similar! The search option doesn't always throw up everything if your wording is slightly different! Now I'm just making excuses, eh?
