I just got 6 points on my provisional license

Hi people, i need some help, im a 16 year old boy and i just got stopped on my ped, i wasn't insured so i got 6 points on my provisional and a fine of �200. i went to the police station so they can explain more, they said to me that i need to wait 3years when my points are cleared, then i can start driving, i wasn't sure if they meant my ped or a car, hopefully a ped because i am looking to do my theory and practial soon. can someone please tell me if this is truth, the fact that i have to wait till im 20 then i can drive.

Yeah, you have one license with the DVLA, and that covers any vehicle. So you will have to wait until you are 19/20. I don't like to be the profet of doom, but then comes the problem of declaring the fact that you have been banned to the insurance company. Good luck mate!
