Time Settings On Phone And Apps

Ive set up my new phone with correct time and date but oddly, messages coming through Facebook messenger are showing up with tomorrows date (today) and an hour out. Any ideas how you can amend the time/ date settings in messenger? Assumed it would default to settings on phone? Thx
