Where to stay in Madrid?
3 Answers
I'm going to Madrid next month for a few nights but I've never been before and I want to know - which is the best area of the city to stay in? Don't mind travelling in the daytime to see sights, etc. but would like to have some nightlife, restaurants, etc. within walking distance for the evenings. If anyone has any advice or can recommend particular hotels it would be much appreciated!

check out the palacio real ,and the bernabeu of course.hope this helps
I went recently and stayed with 3 friends in a cheap but clean and quiet hotel called the EuroMadrid hotel. Found it on the net, we had three bed room for 55 per night ro. It was just off Gran Via, which is the equivalent of their high street. Walking distance to most places of interest, shopping and nightlife. We booked blind but couldn't have chosen a better location. Cheap but cheerful. There are may other similar hotels in the square where this hotel is located. It is also next to a great pool bar called shooters that's open 24hrs and is a great palce to unwind after a big night out. Enjoy!
i stayed in the hotel t3 tirol just off the gran via in madrid, its cheap-about 30 a night andits perfect, really clean and refreshing, ideal for a coupla nights, plus its on the nicer side of town. i had stayed in madrid on a college trip a couple of months previously in this youth hostel, which was smack bang in the middle of a red light district, quite amusing at the time, but i wouldnt want to stay there again.
