Living On My Own Land
we have got a light woodland in llanarth near newquay wales i have leveled a lot of it and made pathways down through it as it is sloping and has a stream running through it at the bottom i have leveled alot of pads ready for haveing something put on them what i was wondering is there any law stopping me doing any sheppards huts either for me to live in or for family to come on holidays in,i was wondering if anyone knows if i am in my rights to put any of these on with out planning permision

Yeah obviously right - you need planning permission. Singer McCartney was made to pull down a shepherd hut which he cuilt god-knows-where on his land....
There are people called Planning Agents who charge but may be able to assist in getting permission

If you intend to live in a hut , wheels or not on your land you need planning permission for residential use . This will be almost impossible to get, if it is granted you can put any type of dwelling there house, hut, mobile home. Land with residential planning permission is worth around 10x the value of the land without planning permission.
You may be able to get agricultural planning permission for a hut or other building to be used to store feed or house animals, but you will not be able to live in it. An occasional overnight stay could be permitted if it is necessary to look after animals for example. But permission for change of use from agricultural to residential use will be very hard to get.
