Upgrading An App On I.pad

I attempted to instal an upgrade of Facebook on my i.Pad but the installation appears to be going nowhere. The 'installing' message runs permanently and the Facebook icon is grey in colour with a black bar. Help! Thanks.

BTW derry, if your icon has a black bar then yup probably haven't upgraded to IOS 7 (7.0.3) so some apps may not work or update correctly.

I had this problem on my iPhone yesterday. I ended up deleting the Facebook app then re-installing it, and it worked.

just uninstall the app then reinstall it with upgraded version
