I've just found something by accident Abers one and all, and I had to share it with you. Although you may already know about this, but while trying to put a plus sign next to my age in another post, accidentally I pressed control and then the plus/equals key and the print got bigger. If, like me, you tend to find you read things very close (I'm supposed to wear reading glasses, being short sighted in one eye, long sighted in the other, but do not as said glasses give me a migraine) this accident has become somewhat of a boon.

Did anyone else know about this aid on their keyboard?!

Yes,a friend showed me how to make the print larger or smaller-great.
Yes is useful, I have partial sight so use it a lot.
Spoon...I found out last year when I said I was getting a magnifying glass to look closely at someone's avatar....there was a long silence before they realised I was serious and told me how to increase the size.... :-(
Yes, I use this a lot too. Ctrl + to increase, Ctrl - to reduce and Ctrl 0 (zero, not the letter O) to reset to 100%.

You all deserve a PSA, but mamyalynne gets two for making me smile.

Thank you.
Thank you, Spoonboy, that is really useful; I didn't know that, and if you press the minus key it reverts...good stuff.
My optician told me that from the age of forty our vision goes downhill.

I am now a decade older and find that being able to adjust the text size is great. I am also diabetic and my vision is slightly blurred sometimes.

I am using my Kindle just now, under the duvet with my nose very near the screen.

:-)

wolf 63 make sure you have regular eye checks please, my late hubby went blind because of diabetes.
Dee Sa - thanks for the info. I get them tested twice a year. My GP is really good.
If your mouse has a scroll wheel you can also use that and the ctrl key to enlarge and shrink text.
... and if you use an Apple product, it is, of course, Command key concurrently with either the 'plus' or 'minus' sign... or simply tap the magic mouse twice for either magnifying or reducing...
