Was I Dreaming About This?

I heard a wolf howl outside my bedroom window last night. It was very weird, because we don't have wolves in this area at all. It wasn't a coyote, fox, dog or bobcat...the howls from them were different (listened to them on youtube today). It was loud and clear as day.

I was completely asleep, and the howl woke me up. The weird part of it though, was when I awoke I was already sitting up in bed. I don't think I was howling because I would have woken up my husband right beside me.

The howl was very loud, like a lone wolf.

Any insight on this would be helpful. Thanks :)

If nobody heard the wolf howl then it was probably all in your mind. Read through this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis The site is situated in the UK and we have no wild wolves, which is a great pity, but if you are in the US it is theoretically possible that it was a lone and very lost wolf. Not wishing to be oppositional, but escapes from captivity suggest some wolves may exist in modern britain.
May be it was your husband
But is Merida in Spain or Venezuela?
