Does anybody know if when claiming Job Seekers Allowance it will cover maintenance/service charge? I own my property (so no need of help with mortgage), but have to pay a yearly £200 maintenance/service charge. Thanks

JSA is a set figure depending on your age.

Is it Income Based JSA (which is means tested) or Contribution Based JSA (which is not means-tested)?

There is a section that asks about ground rent/maintenance charges. I put in some figures and when i added a service charge of £4 a week the benefit figure seemed to go up by a similar amount.
But the DWP should know for sure
