I honestly believe the banal chit-chat in CB is frequently more erudite than the twaddle 'debated' in news.

just bored, with not being mobile still, turns out it's my blood pressure meds causing the swelling so GP has reduced the dose and put me on water pills.
Still suffering from the fall, Cupid?

just tender. it's more the swollen foot giving me gyp!
I agree with the first answer. I am also completely fed up of people whinging about right wing vs left Wing vs liberal in the news section. It's so boring to always see the same people saying the same things (sometimes not even in a different way). I know exactly what reaction certain poster s will have to certain stories even down to what words they will use.

It's the knowitalls in there that amuse me.
LOl....LOL...bednobs is absolutely on the money........so bloody predictable is News.

However, I have a bigger moan about NEWS.

There is a nucleus of intelligent and well read posters, but beneath that, obscuring that fact there is a depth of nastiness, personal insults and "cleverness" which neutralises the point of the debate......in other words, many posters (the same) are just bloody rude.
P.S CB?.........do me a favour.
I blame the parents, and the social workers, and the teachers, and UKIP, and The Grauniad, and Alex Salmond ... well one of them must have done it ... whatever it was ...

... on second thoughts, it's all Nick Clegg's fault ...
Did you know that "banal chit chat" is a nanagram of "Alba can't hitch" ?

And "twaddle debated" is "lewd dad abetted"

I thought not ...
I agree with sqad about News. You can tell how people will answer- not because of the question - but because of who posted it.
Banal? How very dare you!

I have to agree with you about News

News reminds me of a weekly sketch on the Two Ronnies were the same story would be enacted but the setting changed......same old, same old.......
It's better than R&S. Now that really is twaddle.
