I have just had Sky Freestat installed. How do I record programmes on my vcr ? Do I have to tune the satellite receiver into the television and/or the video.I have looked at manuals for the tv and video (both like me,getting on a bit) and can make no sense of them! Simple instructions for a technically challenged male would be much appreciated! Many thanks in anticipation.

Tune your Sky box to the channel you want to record. Record from your VCR (either manually or using the timer) setting the Channel (on the VCR) to AV. Two things to remember: 1. You cannot watch any other channel via Sky whilst you are recording. (2) If you are recording via timer you must leave the Sky box switched on (i.e. NOT in standby modde).
