Removing Tags

Whenever a friend posts photos on FB, he always tags people in the photo who are not even there, presumably he does this, so all his friends will get the photo on their FB. Its so annoying. I have told him not to do this as some of my friends think I am in the photo when Im not ( hiding ?) How can I untag myself from these pics when they come through ?

I thought all his friends get whatever he posts on his Timeline, anyway. There is surely no need to tag unless he has hundreds of friends and his friends have hundreds of friends, so they might miss a post.

I think if you click on the photo, you can get the option to 'untag' yourself.

your name should have an 'untag' word next to it.
it shows to everyone individually i think
