Here is a firefox add-on that I would like to recommend, it is called Curiyo, i do believe it also works with other browsers Chrome for instance.

One only has to point at a word and keep mouse button depressed for a couple of seconds until the Curiyo window appears.

This will give you all the information that you may need about the selected word or phrase, it also contains the provision of Wikipedia, Dictionary, Tweets, Images, News, etc.

Try it I don't think you will be disappointed, I wasn't.

OK, I'm using Firefox.
I'm finding it only works about 20% of the time. Usually nothing happens and that's even with words you'd expect to at least pop up as dictionary entries. Anyone else experiencing this poor response?
Also the 'Summary' tab seems to behave oddly. Two very well-known cryptic crossword setting buddies were attributed photos that clearly were not them (one, who I know as my friend John Halpern, appears to be the Dalai Lama).

I cannot understand the problems you are experiencing.

For a test I held my pointer over the word 'summary' in your post pressed the right button on my mouse and held it until it loaded.

I then hovered over the words 'Dalai Lama' noticing a faint dotted line under the two words and also a question mark, right clicked and up popped the window explaining every thing about the Dalai Lama.

I do notice however that Curiyo, doesn't work on the words one types in the AB answer box.

that's a really god idea. You sort of get the same thing on the kindle, but it only gives you a definition, not all the other stuff
