syssitia for 18d
13a Irideae
5a is praiseach
17a should be Eblis or Iblis (not Ablis?)

Keep a hold on Syssitia - further research needed.

The other three are OK!

18a is Sestinic from sextus meaning sixth!
I think the verse form is Sestina.
No sorry ..scrap that ..not enough letters.

Thankyou crofter and shaneystar2, all ok except I can't get a match if I google sestinic and stanza!?

Try Sestina for a match. As shaneystar2 points out, that is the name of the verse (noun).

Now form the adjective and you should get "Sestinic Verse", hence I posted Sestinic as the answer!

I think that you have a wrong answer here.

16 D is SHEILASCOTT which would give S?S?I?E? for 18A. The answer to which is SESTINES - The question is looking for the answer to be in the plural.
