I missed last night's episode as I'm at work. What did everyone think? Does it look like it's going to be as addictive as the last series?

Oh yes. Off to a good start. Can't remember names yet but we have a gobby girl, not very refined, oldest girl there, who has already really p****d me off because she jumps up and down and squeals with delight like a little kid whenever things go right but who started crying at the first inquest with Sir Alan, as he began to question the girl's team tactics.

And a loud mouth guy who always wants to be boss, and gets very sh***y when the rest of the team don't accept his ideas. He was one of the two guys chosen by the team leader for the chop. Was so aggressive in the inquest that Sir Alan said "I've got your card marked!"

With these two characters on board it looks very explosive.

I've not watched this before, but I tuned in last night, and really enjoyed it. I guess the imprssions formed by hugnie21 will be common, because they are my abiding memories as well.

It was followed by the second series of The Armstrongs, and yes - it is real! Now that is class TV!

I was hooked on the last series, and this one looks like it will be just as good. Looks like there's lots of characters, so should be interesting!
I hope someone in the house smothers that annoying Charlie Dimmock/Ray Parlour lookalike when she's asleep. What about Syed wanting to call the lads team The A Team? And he had a straight face - he remionds me of Paul from the last series.

Interestingly bluemukka I als found Syed to be reminiscent of Paul. And apparently Syed has a white John Travolta suit too, just like Paul used to wear (and presumably still does.) I wondered whether Syed might have tried to follow the 'Paul route' to being memorable.

I, too, find flame-haired Jo most irritating.

I didn't like the boys' team name - Invicta sounds like a model of car. I could easily imagine a Toyota Invicta, for example.

Lorcan

Invicta instantly conjured up a haemorrhoid cream for me lol
It looks pretty good, but there aren't yet any candidates to fill the James Maxx slot. Syed will be kept on for a while, purely because he's good television. And it looks like '"Ray Parlour"' really breaks down next week.
Repeated Tuesday, BBC2, 7 pm if you're interested.
I think they will keep Jo in just because she is so irritating. Apart from the lawyer, the girls don't stand out at all .. can you remember any of the others? Exactly. And as for the boys, Syed really reckons himself, so serious and with those muscles, what a joke. But again, he is one that stands out and makes you laugh, so maybe he will stay in a bit longer. Very good to watch, like the last series. And the Armstrongs are a hoot.
