Im Express Websites?
8 Answers
So primarily I use a Macbook to access the internet for it's faster performance and better media playback (The acer laptop which some have helped me recently remove a virus from in another thread I access now mostly for photoshop and for playing DVDs or torrents). It doesn't actually belong to me so I am not able to install Skype and AIM on it.
I have been using Plus.im which allows me to have both accounts open at the same time and it serves the purpose well but it disconnects me whenever the laptop goes to sleep (which it does every 5/10 minutes or so when inactive). I don't know why it took me so long to find this a nuisance and would like to ideally use something that won't do that if it's possible.
Any suggestions?

I bought the Acer with financial aid money in 2009 and the Macbook isn't mine. It came from my mother's job which she has now taken ownership of.
@Alex
That's not even relevant, the Acer is not the concern here and it's already set to never sleep.
I explained why I use both the Acer and the Macbook sorry if it's not reasonable.

Let me reword myself.
I apologize, I meant no false or misleading representation of myself. What I said in the other thread SlackAlice is true. I bought the Acer with financial aid money in 2009 (didn't I mention in the other thread that it was 5 years old, I usually do). The MacBook as I said doesn't belong to me, my mother is the primary owner...somehow. It did belong to her office.
Perhaps it does make little sense for me to use both since I switched from Firefox to Chrome on the Acer which seems to have eliminated constant non-response on the internet but the Macbook is still faster and has better media playback.
I can't install programs I need such as photoshop on the machine that is not mine to make those choices for and the macbook has no disc drive for playing DVDs. So the Acer still does has it's uses.
I apologize for this question, it really is the least of my problems.
