Been back home about 1 1/2 hours. Appointment was for 2pm and only me booked for afternoon. Dentist kept me waiting 20 minutes before making an appearance due to his late lunch. Well that did a lot for my nerves. Anyway procedure went well. The most uncomfortable bit was the local anaesthetic going into roof of my mouth and the padding which was applied afterwards to help stop bleeding. Couldn't wait to remove that after 1/2 hour. Isn't bleeding now so didn't need to apply further padding. He was right though, the actual removal of both teeth was no longer than 5 minutes. So all's well, just waiting for numbness to go then I guess could be a bit uncomfortable for a while. So thank you to you all for sharing your personal experiences and your good wishes. Lol xx.

So glad it went as well as can be expected, lovely to hear back from you, now go nurse ya gob, lol.
Very pleased it is over and done with, sounds like you were brave in the extreme. Hope any after pain is minimal.

Take care . x
I'm so glad to hear it all went well. I do think that the anticipation is always worse than the actual treatment!

xx

Thank you BOO, Mamyalynne and 2sp. Don't know about being brave though, I would rather undergo an operation than have dental treatment. Stomach rumbling now and don't know what I will manage being both sides of mouth, a bit tricky, guess it will have to be soup.
Is the next appointment for a plate to hide the 2 spaces ?
I had one, hated it and ended up with a bridge, fantastic
and worth every penny !

No ebayfan, was told that as one was a wisdom tooth and the other was close to the back, I shouldn't need to replace them as they will not be noticeable and there won't be any problems eating either so hopefully I will just get used to the spaces. Fingers crossed.
Nar, you just end up with a fetching gap, if it's that far back in your mouth.

Great as a party piece to scare ya kids with :-)

Thank you BOO, yes I agree.
Well done furry, I suggest you take a couple of paracetamol now and 2 more before you go to bed just in case you're beginning to feel a bit sore and sensitive.

I hope the soup went down OK and the custard for afters? Keep warm and sleep well.
I'm just about recovered rom an extraction 4 weeks ago,not had a tooth out sinse milk teeth,so know you must've suffered some, hope all fine soon
At least it's all over! Well done. Just take some painkillers if necessary x

Thank you Maydup, petal & pixie. Just had paracetamol now numbness gone. Had lukewarm soup, damn never thought about custard and have got some of those individual pots. Perhaps have one later or leave till tomorrow. Not feeling too bad but not tried opening mouth too far yet. As you say all done now and must admit it went down better than I expected.
