Anyone know when and where to watch this great spectacular? My sister asked me. She lives in the Chelmsford area so how far would she have to travel to see the display.

Thought at first they were redwings or fieldfares until I heard them and used binoculars to confirm that they were starlings. They stayed for about an hour, prodding the fields for grubs/worms and swarming then went on their way. I assumed that they'd come up from the town centre where they usually roost, this is West Yorkshire btw.
Redwings and fieldfares usually stop off here in October but I haven't seen any yet this year.
