Like many people I suppose, I was concerned to see on news last night about the migrants hanging around in Calias waiting for a chance to enter the UK Illegally. What really took my attention was that a couple of Africans who were interviewed spoke excellent french and no english at all. Just what is it exactly that is the draw, that these people, who have a far better chance in a country where they can at least speak the language, will go through hell and high water to get into Britain? No wonder that the French want to build a new centre for them , to tidy up the streets and and pass them on to us!
Is it really true that we are the soft touch of Europe and that we can do nothing about it , even to bring our rules to a parity with those of France , which is so obviously unattractive to these chancers?

If they are illegal immigrants they aren't allowed to stay in the country and as everybody in France has to carry an identity card, they risk being caught. It must be said that the french government doesn't provide accomodation nor free driving lessons...

We all seem to call / complain / go home / don't come here, I for one keeps saying shut the gate we are full, can you blame the people who try to get into the UK in whatever way they can, be It under / Inside Trailers / Fridge Vans, under carriages of planes, boat, they will try every avenue going, who is at fault? stands to common sense who's to blame, the Government with their policies, cutbacks, cutting back on the Border forces. there should be an agreement between countries of the Illegals, if they are thrown out, let them pay the costs, there should be NO way that they should claim Political Asylum, do I feel sory for them? I feel sorry for the people in this country that's paid into the system all their life's and getting money taken from them to keep / feed / house these persons that's done nothing to live here & come here with sod all in their pockets.

big problem comes of course if they have no papers, so where does one send them back to. The French presumably don't want them on their doorstep but until someone comes up with a better plan, then i suppose the least they can do is get them a place to stay.

The last place of departure, France, if they done their jobs right they would not get anywhere near a port, do you see them anywhere near De Gaulle Airport?

I believe that the world is for everyone. But I do not agree with working hard to pay for others.
