time for me to be off i'm afraid. no lumps of wood today as we need a break. going food shopping instead. i'll be getting the normal amount but seeing so many trollies so piled up. what do they do with it all? families aren't as big as they used to be and food shops don't close down for a week, probably juust one day. grumble over.

Boaty , I've lived at various locations around the UK because of work, it was nice to come back to Scotland....but the weather is bad, couldn't contemplate a move away from mum and dad though !

I know minty. ;o} I love to visit Scotland too. Bar the weather. It's time I did again. I'll have to see what I can do.

The shops are only closed for two days, some of them only one day. I really can't see the point of it. One family of four had two trolleys stacked high yesterday, all freezer stuff. I don't know how many freezers the have. It'll be interesting to see what they get just before the day!

North Scotland and Perthshire lovely...Inverness a nice place to visit too...but damned midges !!..

Too flat for me. But Vera has relatives over there, so we went over quite often. Some nice pubs though! :o}
