Atheism is not a belief, sandyRoe; it is the very opposite: a refusal to believe absurd things. Of course, you could stretch the everyday use of the language and say that a rejection of unicorns, fairies and fire-breathing dragons are beliefs, in which case be my guest.
But if you use the language that cavalierly then don't expect anything you say to be taken seriously.
Surely you're not suggesting that some of the goodly unGodly are cows? Would the phrase,'the sheep from the goats' not have had a more mellifluous ring to it?
